Liverpool memories

Rachel Prescott

Watching Gerrard and Carragher fight to overcome a 3:0 half time scoreline in Istanbul to triumphantly go on to win the Champions League. Sat with my friends and and my 15 year old son and we could all not believe what we were witnessing, truly amazing night and one I shall never forget.

Autograph hunting in Liverpool.

"Ian St John was my particular favourite. He lived close to me in a little road called Hillcrest, autograph paradise as Alex Parker of Everton lived in the road as well."

Good Friday 1963 Only my second match at Anfield Liverpool v Tottenham,Spurs were 2-0 up at half time and I was crying my eyes out that my team were getting outplayed. Then a Shanks pep talk at half-time and we smashed 5 in the second half including 2 by Sir Roger Hunt and I went home a happy boy, only for us to go down to Spurs Easter Monday and get beat 7-2 with Jimmy Greaves scoring 4 or 5.

Kenny Logan may have a lifelong love affair with Rangers, but not even celebrating an Ally McCoist sclaff could trump an unforgettable night at the 2005 Champions League final in Istanbul
